Wow, yeah I sometimes do feel that there's just a bit TOO much for a small design & marketing firm like mine where 3 people (including myself) work.

Basically what I needed was a solution that makes sure I know (and my employees know) what tasks are on their hands, which ones are due when, schedule phone calls and meetings on a web based environment.

I'll take a look at your service as well Shane. Thanks for the input! And please come back again to my site for more great (I hope) articles.

Agreed. Sugar CRM is a great tool. I had implemented it a few years ago for our sales team, but found some resistance. The people on our sales team who were either very keen on the idea of using a crm or technically savvy had no problem with the tool.

The trouble was for everyone else. They struggled to understand and found it too complicated overall. We had some people who'd been selling for many years, weren't technically inclined at all, and provided heaps or resistance.

We originally developed www.simplesalestracking.com to solve that problem. It worked well enough that we've now made it available as a hosted software service.

Both a free version and $15/mth/user paid version is available.

So, my opinion... use sugar when you need a tool that provides every conceivable feature. Use Simple Sales Tracking for something that's simple, focused and low cost.
