How the Mybloglog Avatar can be advantageous to hot girls (and those who pretend to be)
So today I was searching through John Chow’s Blog reading up on his stuff and being a comment whore (yes I admit it shamelessly!), I stumbed across a comment with an avatar on it. Now, this feature is enabled by installing the MyBlogLog Avatar display plugin, which I installed by John’s recommendation (yes I’m a copycat but he’s a successful person and I don’t feel shame of it either!).
Now, I’m a guy. I have my hormones and I happen to be straight. Who wouldn’t click on her face, honestly??? She’s hot. I’m curious (and horny, what can I say…).
What a great way to generate extra traffic!!! And you know what? I liked that blog. I added to my RSS. Just so you know their blog is called Career Ramblings.

LOL…I saw this link on my Technorati and I read it once. I wasn’t sure if this was for real, so I came over. Thank you for the compliment. And don’t worry, you’re not the only comment whore
OH OH OH Theres the Avatar I was talking about! Everybody click it!!!
haha, no problem Jane, thanks for the comment!
hahaha good post Jeff that’s awesome. yeah i agree.
thanks for the tip, Jeff!
I found out some interesting things about this plugin… One, it is based on your URI and second, for my OpenWP / Joomla combo I had to add a small line of code to make it work for my own comments:
if($nickname == “sstark”){$url = “http://www.stevenstark.com”;}
it seems my URL wasn’t being passed through because I am the owner of the site.
Too bad it’s so easy to impersonate someone using the MyAvatars widget…
No, this is NOT John Chow.
Yes, the downsides of it.
… Seriously? This isn’t John? I was excited that John finally left a comment for me..
LOL
I think 90% of the girlies avatars on mybloglog are fakes.
Thanks for this site!
